28 Things All Entrepreneurs Do and Don’t Do
I was once asked just what is the thing that successful entrepreneurs do, or don’t do. It got me to thinking real hard about what it is that sets entrepreneurs apart from those who’d like to be. Here are 28 things ALL entrepreneurs DO and DON’T do:
1. Entrepreneurs pay attention to the new opportunities that present themselves everyday.
2. Entrepreneurs don’t stop because they don’t know how to do something. They delegate tasks to people who are more gifted to perform the things you can’t, or learn to do them. They don’t re-invent the wheel if its not needed.
3. Entrepreneurs aren’t afraid of change or new things, so they try, investigate and willing risk making mistakes.
4. Entrepreneurs set realistic goals daily as well as for the long term.5. Entrepreneurs study the background information of what they’re marketing so they can become experts in a filed they wouldn’t normally have any expertise in.6. Entrepreneurs study other peoples’ mistakes and successes and learn from them.
7. Entrepreneurs realize that they’re running a long term business, not a get rich quick venture. They think and plan for he future.
8. Entrepreneurs don’t let problems stop them from reaching a goal. They learn new things from road blocks and hurdles.
9. Entrepreneurs are professional, thoughtful in their communication and to the point. They don’t give people fluff or false hope.
10. Entrepreneurs are real with who they are and understand their own personality. They know their strengths and weaknesses.
11. Entrepreneurs use their resources and time wisely, while learning to make room for taking risks.12. Entrepreneurs don’t get frustrated if something takes longer than expected. They always focus on the goal.
13. Entrepreneurs know that there are many parts of entrepreneurship that WILL NOT be fun, but they do them anyway.
14. Entrepreneurs learn to move on to new projects. They don’t get attached to something that isn’t working or is using too many resources.
15. Entrepreneurs don’t give away their best information upfront. They understand how to pace what they bring to market.
16. Entrepreneurs remove things that distract them or take their mind off the goal.
17. Entrepreneurs don’t have pre-determined or fixed ideas about how something will end up. They are flexible and try new things.
18. Entrepreneurs are honest with others and themselves. They earn the trust of their following by being trustworthy.
19. Entrepreneurs don’t make decisions on whether or not something is enjoyable. They think about what their target wants.
20. Entrepreneurs are always making new products or ventures. They are constantly exploring new options without get wrapped up in one thing. They can get out of their own box.
21. Entrepreneurs don’t take things personally.
22. Entrepreneurs run their business the way they want, while always being open to advice. They can understand that no one person can possibly know everything.
23. Entrepreneurs are proactive with their decision making. They DO what they DREAM.
24. Entrepreneurs are prepared for long hours and lots of work because they know that success does not occur overnight, or on its own.
25. Entrepreneurs incorporate ideas and products that they know already work.
26. Entrepreneurs know how to delegate tasks to other more gifted than themselves. They know how to let go of something and let another person get add their own style, twist or flavor to it.
27. Entrepreneurs learn about who they are marketing to and craft their communication accordingly.
28. Entrepreneurs welcome feedback and criticism from those who matter the most: their customers.

Virtual Outsourcing Can Make Your Business More Profitable
Many successful entrepreneurs believe that they are actually being frugal by not getting the help they need. Some assume that by doing everything themselves, they are saving money and thus earning more. In most cases, this simply isn’t true. When you use your valuable time performing the tasks that generate the most profit for your company, you are using your time to its full income earning potential. He or she could potentially be earning $584 dollars a day minus the cost of outsourcing the clerical work, which should be significantly less than the $184 per day gained.
Until recent years, the thought of getting the administrative aspects of your business off of your plate meant that you had to hire an employee. But, for many entrepreneurs this was not feasible due to lack of space or monetary concerns. This left many business owners with few options, except to continue doing it all themselves. Luckily, in today’s world of advanced internet technologies, there are alternatives. In fact, there are very few tasks today that can’t be outsourced. A simple Google search for just about any task on your to-do list should give you a variety of companies that specialize in the outsourcing of this service.

How often have you either referred to or considered the expression, “Success is a journey and not a Destination?” Probably many times, yet often being in a hurry to get there, we forget that success is not an end unto itself, but is instead an ongoing process.
Though some people seem to have the Midas touch and easily turn everything to gold, most of us have to give our endeavors lots of time, effort and the sweat of our brow before seeing things come to fruition. The simple truth is that the majority of us are simply not born leaders, but become leaders by who we are and the actions we take. Consequently, whether or not you’re an established entrepreneur or just starting out on your journey, there are particular traits you’ll usually find operating within the exceptional entrepreneur. With an attitude of respect for others, the successful entrepreneur gains the respect from everyone they encounter. Strategies, attitudes and methods filter down to each person and reflect on all actions and activities. A successful entrepreneur gives everyone the space to be great. No matter how effective or beneficial your expertise, becoming a successful entrepreneur requires building up of your character muscles, traits and habits, which correspondingly make your dreams a reality.
2) Successful Entrepreneurs Believe and Trust in Themselves
The savvy entrepreneur is good at trusting his or her own ideas and instincts. Starting out as an entrepreneur requires persistence, determination and a high level of self-discipline. Most successful entrepreneurs start out by writing a basic business plan that acts as the impetus and guide for their endeavors. It doesn’t have to be fancy or lengthy but it should include marketing strategies, goals, intentions, ideas and why you can do better than your competition. A business plan should be reviewed and updated periodically for each new idea stirs and inspires other ideas.
4) Successful Entrepreneurs Think Creatively
Successful entrepreneurs are not afraid of thinking creatively. Whether a business idea has already been tried makes no difference to the exceptional entrepreneur. He or she sees better ways of doing things and knows that every idea can be expanded upon, made better, enhanced or broadened . The successful entrepreneur is willing to think outside or the proverbial box, which means using imagination, trying new things and expanding on a vision. The savvy entrepreneur pays careful attention as to whether a particular strategy is working. If after giving it his or her best shot the entrepreneur realizes the particular strategy isn’t working, they know there’s no point in continuing to invest energy, time and effort in the strategy. They move on to another approach and idea.

Imagine what it will feel like when you’ve reached a particular set of goals. Get in touch with the feelings, you’d have as a successful entrepreneur. Practice and conceive of the sense of empowerment and the joy of having succeeded. The successful entrepreneur knows they have the power to live life the way they want, but to make it a reality, they know it has to be seen first.

Giving up is never in the vocabulary of the successful entrepreneur. Of course there may be days when a successful entrepreneur feels discouraged or disappointed, but giving up is not an option. Having faith, trust, confidence and determination are the qualities needed for the successful entrepreneur. To keep their focus on track, they seek out the support of those that know them, encourage them and bring out their natural enthusiasm. The smart and successful entrepreneur realizes that there will be good days and not so good days.
